BORAH GOLDSTEIN represents hundreds of landlords owning thousands of residential and commercial properties located in New York City and Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester and Rockland counties. Known as a leader and innovator in the prosecution of summary non-payment and holdover proceedings, the Firm has a substantial litigation practice before the New York State Supreme Court in which equitable and legal issues involving real property and owner/tenant disputes are resolved. In the current economy this has involved foreclosure work representing condominiums, coops, owners and trusts.The Firm litigates disputes before several administrative agencies, including the Division of Housing and Community Renewal, the Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the Loft Board, the Department of Buildings and the Board of Standards and Appeals. In conjunction with its broad litigation and administrative practices, the Firm has specialists who practice before the Appellate Term, the Appellate Division, the New York State Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Borah, Goldstein is also known for its high quality cooperative and condominium representation, sophisticated transactional work, and bankruptcy practice.
