This division protects the rights of owners (as creditors) when the tenant debtor has filed a Chapter 11, 13, or 7 petition in the Bankruptcy Court. The services we supply include:
- Preparing and filing monetary claims for rents and additional charges owed under a lease
- Preparing and prosecuting motions to vacate the automatic stay
- Negotiating lease rejections and assumptions and/or assignments
- Defending or prosecuting adversarial proceedings which arise in the context of the bankruptcy proceeding
- Attending creditor meetings
- Applying for the appointment of trustees or examinees
