Zoning/Land Use

This division performs several functions related to permissible use of real property.  This highly specialized work involves:

  • The review and analysis of a property for the purpose of rendering a zoning opinion on the permissibility of an air rights transfer
  • Zoning lot mergers
  • Lot apportionments
  • Advising on and prosecuting ULURP applications before the New York City Planning Department
  • Prosecuting variance applications before the Board of Standard and Appeals
  • Prosecuting special permit applications before the Board of Standard and Appeals
  • Appearing before the Department of Buildings in connection with building code and zoning resolution matters
