(ii) Commercial Leasing
The firm has represented landlords in connection with the leasing of shopping centers, taxpayers, office buildings and residential apartment buildings and has negotiated major leases with nationally recognized retailers, financial services institutions and restaurant chains. Since the firm has also represented major tenants, it recognizes the need for a respectful give and take in lease negotiations that will assist the parties in developing a long term landlord-tenant relationship. On occasions, and even with the best of intentions, such relationships can go awry and clients can then call upon the strong commercial litigation resources of the firm for assistance.
The firm has handled hundreds of millions of dollars of financings and refinancings over the years and can assist clients in identifying and obtaining sources of financing. Through consolidation of existing debt, and the assignment of the debt of other parties, the firm helps minimize the out of pocket closing costs of its clients.
