Biography

Stephanie Rivas is an Associate in the firm's Supreme Court Division at Borah, Goldstein, Altschuler Nahins & Goidel, P.C., where she focuses on litigation involving rent regulation disputes and coverage claims under the Loft Law. She also handles various supreme court litigation cases relating to the enforcement of contracts and the nonpayment of rent.

Stephanie graduated Cum Laude and received her J.D. with a concentration in Finance from SUNY Buffalo School of Law. She graduated Cum Laude from John Jay College of Criminal Justice attaining her B.A. degree.

During her law school career, Stephanie interned at a boutique real estate law firm handling finance transactions and Landlord/Tenant issues. Some of her other internships include the Yale Law School Legal Service Organization, Federal Public Defender's Office for the Western District of New York, and Judicial Clerk for Hon. Dena Douglass. At SUNY Buffalo Law School, Stephanie served as Submissions Editor of the Buffalo Journal of Gender, Law and Social Policy. Stephanie was the recipient of the Dominican Bar Association Scholarship in 2015 and the Puerto Rican Bar Association Scholarship in 2014.
